Thread: Jayasuriya 152 off 99 & Tharanga 109 off 102 - (almost HD quality!)

wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww ... now that's what i'm talkin about ... that's the SL style of cricket ... not block after block after block ... daaaamn i miss those days when our openers just went after the bowlers ... it seems to be a rarity these days ... sana atm is going through a rough patch but tharanga seems so out of place ... he obviously is the most successful of all the openers we have tried out thus far but it's very clear that he's struggling to make runs not cos he's down on form, but rather his technique against the new ball is very poor ... imo he has been this way ever since he came onto the scene ... also looks like he's down on confidence and self belief ... he needs to have a good look at this vid again and again to see what he's truly capable of ... that was a magnificent innings by him ... with a little bit of work with a high quality batting coach he can come good ... i have no doubt ... same goes for some of our other batsmen ... we undoubtedly have the talent to match world class teams but our guys just need a bit of self belief and good coaching and we'll be back to our good old days in no time ... SL all da way!!
