Roshan , Upul Chandana ,TM Dilshan and Ruwan kalpage were the best Fielders we ever had.

And its comes to slip Fielders there is no other than DPMD Jayawardane.

Ah he was amazing.

I wonder why we dont have many in new generation who are renouned for fielding. I mean after all now we have people who are professionals more than ever before.

Missed out the Lord Kapu!!! in addition randiv and sachitra are good fielders bt nt enuf matches played...

i think mahanama is only second to jonty comparing the era he has played.

mahanama>chandana>kalpage>Dilshan>Kapu>Randiv>sach ithra

i would rate sanath inbetween somewhere as well.He was another fantastic fielder early in his career.

I find it difficult to put them in an order. Felt that Chandana and Sanath had stronger arms. You won't find many better fielders of their own bowling than Kalpage and Murali. If it comes down to catching, I have to give it to Mahanama and Kalpage. There was something about Kalpage's fielding style. It was like watching Aravinda bat. Modern day fielders (Dilshan and Kapu) are probably better at direct hits.

Mahanama finest catcher I’ve seen for SL.

Remember he took one handed catch to take rid out of Tendulkar aka little cheat and vass was the bowler. Tried to find it on youtube. Couldn't find it.
