SL were in winning position in all 4 matches.That's some kind of an achievement for a side that has been hampered by injuries.
We also have 3 people (Mahela,Kapu,Sanath) who are in the team to save their positions rather than playing for the country.

Thats the way to look at it.. last time we were in India we got thrashed 6-1 with a more experienced side! atleast these games were close

man dont watch the match, coz people playing for our country are just there for the money they are a bunch of no brainers! i learned this lesson during this series! so please go do something valuable with ur lives than waste 8 hours of ur life and end up arguing over who should do wht and etc.....

Yeah ur right mate it's just waste of time, but we have options than cricket, I'll consider about Rugby.

Whether India or SL team is better can be definitely seen in the results. It is true that this Indian team has its own weaknesses. Yet Indians have shown to fight at any stage of the game. Only three players Dilshan, Tharanga and Sangakkara have been threats to the Indians. I couldn't see how much SL fought in the game when these three are back in the hut. The remaining batsmen never performed consistently. Were SL bowlers able to contain the Indian batting at any stage or take wickets whenever needed? During the last outings with Indians since July 2008 in ODIs, SL werse second better to India. The fifth outing is in Bangladesh next month. If SL are to fare better, they have to analyze these aspects. Note that even the second match SL won, could have gone India side if not for a costly fielding lapse.

Recently Australians also had tough time against India. Three matches Australia won were really close. But they won the series, because the fight came from them anytime during the match.

According to Local media,Brendon Kuruppu said K'sekara or W'gedara will replca Malinga for the 5th ODI.K'sekara shouldn't even come into consideration if Wela is fit.

12th time we are playing Sri Lanka in ODIs in 2009.. seriously bored mates. The results look so far India - 8, SL - 3.

They are playing against each other too much. I cannot believe SL is playing again in Tri series.

we were in gd positions to win the other three one dayers but we failed!

1st odi) any top class team could hav won easily with the position we were in!

3rd odi) very rarely u will see a batting COLLAPSE like sl did! lazy cricket and giving away wickets!

4th odi) first time i hav seen a batsman get singles and TWOs at his own wish! very rarely did i see a dot ball!

SOME of these things hav happened a lil too often in the past and yet we do the same mistakes as if we are making the mistake for the first time!

So maybe we were not beaten by a better team! maybe our players just dont learn! i guess the eariler u realise this the better!

if's but's may be dont win matches .. see the recent results for last 2 years .. SL is not even competing .. be it england or australia or in india .. so my earlier post hold's true
