Mahela Jayawardane(c), Sanath Jayasuriya, Kumar Sangakkara(wk), Aravinda de Silva, Arjuna Ranatunga, TM Dilshan, Angelo Mathews, Rumesh Ratnayake, Chaminda Vaas, Lasith Malinga, Mutthiah Muralitharan
I agree the first quoted team was the best. One should not forget that Sanath was our second best ODI spinner ever. Vaasy was our best long standing, and Mali and Rumesh had the weaponary and pace to trouble the best. Don't forget that Rumesh felled both Lloyd and Larry Gomes? The only disappointment for me is not to include Atapattu who was and excellent ODI opener who paired very well wtih Santh? Should he be included over Dilly? Arjuna was the perfect middle order stabilizer. Kandambi could have been an Arjuna, too bad he was just a pretender.
