With the weather we're currently having, there's every possibility that none of the matches will be played. But one should keep his fingers crossed as this will be the only chance our players, mainly the selected 15, will get to familiarize with the new grounds.

That is according to Dilz, where he quoted sanga that the provincial matches will be played at WC venues. However, according to the schedule at cricinfo, matches will be played at SSC. let's see what happens.

Provincial games to be played at WC venues

When the question was raised as to if the Skipper was satisfied with the ground preparations and the pitches specially at R.Premadasa,Pallekeke and Sooriyawewa Sangakkara said that Provincial games would be played on these pitches so that they would get accustomed to the conditions.”The World cup pitches weren’t used for the Domestic games and we hope that the pitches wouldn’t be as difficult for batting as we saw in the Domestic Premier league”said Sangakkara.

One other thing to note is there are no teams called Basnahira North and South. It will be a single team from Basnahira while a new team will be entering with the name Uva.

that's a WC warm up match i guess. the link i put contains all the fixtures involving sri lankan cricket. actually a warm up match for ENG U19s was scheduled to start today, but was washed out possibly. otherwise we'd have seen the very popular rambukwella play

i guses basnahira south and north combined last year there was two basnahira teams also i see change in teams , chandimal was in ruhuna last year

looking forward to these games .... hopefully mendis and dilhara get thrashed and randiv and vass do really well .... pukagedera will fail so no need to hope for that .... then the selectors will have to reconsider

lets up hope ...that tharanga miserably fails at opening , so we will decide to open mahela nd he will be our 1st choice for opener
and i hope Randiv bowls better than all our spinners , show a lil something to these idiots who left him and out , also kapu ..who will fail no need to hope for that lol

it seems like dilshan will smash the wayamba attack , he was devastating on the Last two games he played

seriously is this what you guys want to happen with only 30 odd days for the WC?? no matter how much we dont like certain players of the squad remember these guys are the one's who will play for SL in a months time! so is it fair for us to wish them to fail , so close to the WC?
