Just saw ODI batsmen rankings and Chanadimal got 18th place after his last fifty. Just two weeks ago he was at 60's in rankings. Jayawardena is now 17th in ODI rankings.
P.S- Sachin boy drooped to 29th after the tragedy in Australia.
You were saying that people call Sanga a ball eater and they should call Chandimal one because his career SR was similar to Sanga. Recording 40+ scores at below par SRs just to throw it away is not the role of a #3 batsman in one day cricket. He has 90 scores of 40 or more v top 7 teams and 34 are below SR 75. That is a considerable proportion. Shows that he doesn't really finish with a good rate even when he gets himself in. He's been doing that over and over again for years (300+ innings). That is why we call him a ball eater not just because of his career SR. I'm sure no one called him that after 50-60 matches. Chandimal has played just 30+ innings and I wonder how many of his 40+ or 50+ knocks are under SR 75. I think you said Chandimal has played enough (30 innings) for you to judge him and relate that to S'kara's problem. You have to be seriously stupid to compare these two.
I'm not trying to defend Chandimal's knocks under 40 runs. Sanga also has so many of them. You might come up with an accusation like that because I'm looking at scores of 40 or more. It's just that 40 can be considered as a decent score because most of our batsman average below that. Try to stop saying we are trying to protect Chandimal and shit. He hasn't played enough number of momentum hindering knocks for us to even think about protecting him. The whole site except one imbecile can see the difference between 300 and 30.
