Oh yeh, another major off-season move:
9. Lebron gets dunked on by school kid at Skills Camp. Damnnn.
I love me some Lebron, lol, but who else here is craving to see that vid?
Hey Guys,
I'm a pretty big NBA fan and thought it was time the board updated its NBA discussions, lol the 07-08 season was a fair while ago.
Anyway for those who were unaware, below is the list of 'major' 08/09 off-season moves to this day:
1. Shaq traded to the Cavs, for Big Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic. (Highway robbery by the Cavs in my opinion)
2. Vince Carter traded to the Magic for Courtney Lee, Rafer Alston and Tony Battie.
3. Ron Artest signed by the Lakers, to the MLE (Mid-Level Exception)
4. Rasheed Wallace signed by the Celtics to the MLE.
5. Ariza signed by the Rockets to the MLE.
6. Turkoglu signed by the Raptors.... to a ridiculous contract in my opinion.
7. Marion traded to the Mavs in a four team trade.
8. Ben Gordon and Villanueva signed by the Pistons.
Hmmmmm, that seems about it, in regards to major player movement anyway.
So, what's your thoughts on the upcoming season? Who will contend? Who will win it all? Which team will be a flop? Which team has made the best off-season moves? Which teams need to get off their ass and make some moves, lol?
Discuss.
Ohh, btw, if you're wondering i'm a Miami Heat fan, although my favourite player is the big diesel (Shaq).
And, yes, my team falls in the category of the last question!

yeah and the kid goes to Xavior university lmao
probably end up going to about 3 cavs games this year
haha had no idea you were into NBA
whats your team?
i cant wait for this season to start and i hope nate robinson stays with NYand hopefully jordan hill makes all those knicks fans happy with the draft after curry went 1 pick before
i think it's going to be a great season hope that houston do well i thought they were very competive last year
michaelk,
lol, sorry to let u down, but I don't see Houston being very competitive this season.
Yao could very well be out for the season with his fractured foot and T-Mac is sadly rarely ever healthy for any period of time.
The loss of Artest could prove to be fatal considering ur missing two of ur biggest threats.
Ariza was a great addition, but he is more of a complimentary player than actual star player. He would have been the perfect fit for Houston had Yao and T-Mac not been injured.
But stranger things have happened in the NBA....anyway good luck for the season, I like the Rockets as a team to be honest.![]()
Lol I like most teams.

Lol, not sure if the question was addressed to me, but anyway my team is the Heat. I think i mentioned it before. :-\
Yeh anyway, i felt sorry for Jordan Hill man, was sad how the fans treated him at the draft, he was the best player available with the pick after Curry had gone. I actually think he will be a great fit, NY seems to be short on skilled big men.
Hopefully Nate hangs around, he's an amazing player. But with NY you never know, their trying to get all geared up for the Free Agency block party of 2010 lol.
Who knows, Lebron and Hill could be a great 1,2 punch in 2011.....
But let's see how the MVP does with Shaq Diesel first....![]()

if tmac hits form when he comesback hopefully half -through the season i still have good hopes houston proved last year without tmac, yao and mutumbo that they are still a force when they won game 4 and 6 verus lakers so you never know i think ariza is a star player so he'll do a great job+i hope they have von wafer his a fantastic sub player i think houston will make it to the playoffs they just need to go futhur this time and hope yao comes back late and tmac hits good form they will fight hard and be competive for sure

Yehh good point, If T-Mac can play at least half of the season you guys have a pretty good chance of making the playoffs.
Lol, I love Von Wafer too, the dude is just automatic offense off the bench.
Hopefully Yao can make a speed recovery, because he is certainly a difference maker, would be a HUGE help and boost at the end of the season.
