Thread: Jacqueline spends time with her favourite cricketer

Jacqueline Fernandez is not an ardent cricket lover, but she's a big fan of fellow Sri Lankan player Sanath Jayasuriya. Recently, at a beauty pageant in Colombo, the actress was on the same panel of judges as Jayasuriya, and she got an opportunity to spend time with him discussing his association with various charity organisations.

A source who travelled with her reveals, "This was the first time she met the former skipper, and they talked about cricket and Bollywood. Since she keeps shuttling between Sri Lanka and India, he asked her how she manages to stay in touch with friends and family back home." Even though he doesn't follow Bollywood movies closely, the excaptain promised that he would see her films.

Talking about her experience of being a judge and meeting the former cricketer, Jackie says, "Judging the pageant was a special opportunity as I love to promote and encourage new talent. Sanath is an idol and someone I deeply respect, so it was a proud moment for me to be sitting at the same table as him. It's a meeting I'll cherish for a long time."
