Im a pakistani and not a sri lankan. I just love the way sri lanka approaches their cricket. every time they play u can tell it on their faces. They play for pride. They wanna win the hearts of their fans. But when they dont perform well the sri lankan fans are on their sides cheering them up. lets take a situation. Pakistan or India all out for 200 and the other team is 180/5 in 30 overs. Pakistani and indian fans swearing and criticising their time as it was the bermudan team. but look at sri lankan fans. come on u can get the wickets. and this is half the reason why sri lanka are such a good team they fight till the end and their fans are like 12th man.

well thnx for that article... the difference between SL fans and the rest is we cheer for our team no matter whether they win or loose the reason is all the SL fans play or played cricket in their lives they know wat it feels when they win a game or loose a game that is the true sportsmanship, as a SL fan i do get upset when SL loose but even in that loosing game there is always some possitive cricket played there is always a new hero even in lost games. for us we appriciate the game and the way our players play the game. wat the indian fans don't realize is that they can't winn all the games this is spots win and loose are to be faced. a true cricket fan won't be able to destroy or burn a players property... this is why we r proud to be SL fan because Sl players have won each and every one of our hearts... winning is not that exciting but winning in key situvations is the key tha's how they SL players won our hearts.... whether they win or loose they allways provide us with the entertainment which every cricket fan wants..

is it the case? i hv seen srilankan fans also criticising their cricketers loads of times.. i hardly find any difference... we all are very emotionally attached to this game and we all fans are similar...!!

I think SL fans are the better of the lot. I think a lot of that has to do with their customs and beliefs of tolerance etc.
